Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)


What is the Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)?

  •  CSFP is a program administered by the KY Department of Agriculture and God’s Pantry Food  Bank for Kentucky residents,
  •  The program provides a monthly food package to supplement the nutritional needs of                   low-income elderly individuals. 


Who is eligible for CSFP?

  • Elderly individuals age 60 or older whose household income is at 130% of the Federal Poverty Income guideline. 
  • Monthly income cannot exceed $1,316 for a single-person household.  For a two-person household, the income cannot exceed $1,784.  For each additional household member, add $468 to the household income amount.  
  • The individual must be a Franklin County resident.


What information must I have to apply?

  • Individual must bring personal identification such as driver’s license, ID card, birth certificate, or Medicare card.

When can I apply for the program?

  • You can apply during a monthly pick up from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The schedule is listed below.

What foods will CSFP participants receive each month?

  • Canned meat, canned fruit,  juice, dry milk and or liquid milk, canned vegetables, pasta, cereal and cheese. 
  • Occasionally various produce is provided.
